McDonald’s wanted to increase sales in their 24hr restaurants and tasked us with finding a way to reach out to those craving a late night snack. We created a mobile site that behaved like an app, tracking a user’s location and through simple step-by-step directions guides them to their nearest restaurant. Snack Tracker was promoted via geo-targeted mobile ads and Facebook posts that were displayed when a user was within 5km of a restaurant. It was so well received in Western Canada that McDonald's now has plans to roll it out across the rest of the country.
